Shipping Information

Local customers can contact me to arrange delivery without shipping. For Northern California customers, I try to make it to the Sacramento show every year. I do not yet have a table there, but if you are going to be there, we could meet at my Hotel room.

For other customers, the animal will need to be shipped.

Boxing

Snakes will not be boxed until shortly before being shipped. I always use brand new boxes. Young snakes are shipped in deli cups with plenty of shredded newspaper inside the cup to prevent them from excessive bouncing around. Adult snakes are secured in a quality snake bag.

Shipping Cost

Shipping is done through FedEx via repster. In most cases, shipping will come to $50.00 including packing supplies, but please give me your full address and how many snakes you wish to purchase so I can give you an exact quote.

Shipping Days

I only ship on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. All shipping is done via FedEx Next Day Air. I do not ship on Thursday because a shipping delay could result in delivery delayed until Monday, which is way too long.

Pre-Shipping Contact

I need some form of contact with you the day before the intended ship date to verify the ship date with you. For example, if the ship day is a Monday then I need an e-mail or phone call on Sunday.

Weather Considerations

It is not fair to ship a reptile when the temperature is too hot. Use of cold packs can help, but during especially hot weather it just isn't safe.

Before I ship reptile, I will check the weather forecast at the destination target. I use The Weather Underground for this purpose.

If the forecast is above 95F or below 45F for the delivery day then I can not ship and must delay shipment. This is not negotiable. I also will not ship if my local temperature is above 95 or below 45.

Shipping Policy

I am located in Redding, CA. Local pickup by arrangement only. All animals will be shipped from Redding, CA.

All reptiles are shipped via FedEx Next Day. It is against the law to send any snake through the United States Postal Service and UPS has made it clear that they do not want my business.

I will check the weather forecast in your area before shipping. If the forecast predicts a temperature above 95F or below 45F either or at your destination or at my point of origin then I will not ship and will notify you via e-mail or phone that shipping has been delayed due to weather.

Please e-mail the day before the scheduled ship date so that I can verify you will be at the destination to receive the animal. If you fail to e-mail me, I will have to try and reach you by phone. If I can not reach you by phone, then the shipping will be delayed.

The easiest thing to do is to e-mail me the day before the agreed upon ship date. For example, if I will be shipping on Tuesday for a Wednesday delivery, please e-mail me on Monday verifying that you will be able to receive the animal on Wedensday.

I guarantee a live arrival. In the unlikely event that the animal arrives dead, please contact me by phone immediately to arrange for replacement or full refund.
